The ultrasonic welding is an enery efficient and fast process which is also suitable for large series productions. Typical applications in the automotive industry are door panels, add-on pieces for instrument panels and other trims for the interior.
Ultrasonic oscillations (40-30-20 kHz) can be generated in thermoplastics using piezo ceramics, thus allowing for plastification and welding of the workpiece to the contact surface. The FRIMO US standard components enable a extremely fast welding and are particularly suitable for plane welding or riveting with cold tools. These processes can be monitored by means of energy or performance control, posistion measuring systems and welding data capture. Manual welding option allow for simple backup operations.
