Press laminating is mainly used to process materials that are unsuitable for vacuum processes, such as textiles, materials with and without foam backings or non-stretchable cover materials like leather or Alcantara. The decorative element and the substrate are usually laminated together by means of a bond using two hard tool halves. Sophisticated decor positioning and tool arrangements ensure optimal laminating conditions.
Besides the press laminating with two hard tool halves other laminating processes like the membrane laminating, combined processes comprising press laminating, edgefolding and trimming as well as leather laminating come into operation.
