The Materials Management department at FRIMO Group includes procurement and logistics. It covers each individual procurement process at FRIMO production sites around the world. We see ourselves as an internal service provider for all requesting agencies and company divisions.

The Head of Materials Management is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, overall coordination and reporting to Management. Other functions, such as supplier management, sourcing, master data management and framework contract negotiations are monitored centrally by our headquarters in Lotte (Strategic Procurement). Operative ordering and coverage of project needs, particularly of buying and drawing parts, components and systems is handled by the employees who work on-site at the plants (Project Procurement). Standard parts and commodities are procured and scheduled centrally for all locations (standard parts procurement). As a separate organizational branch, central logistics is responsible for all strategic decisions and planning of logistic matters. With the goal of a uniform work approach, the team leader of each site is responsible for processing internal and external logistic tasks. Global shipping of finished machinery and equipment is coordinated by the central shipping office.
