The use of polyurethane has already proven itself for a wide range of applications in vehicle construction over a long period of time. The material is thus also used, for instance, in the manufacture of precisely contoured, three-dimensional, directly backfoamed car carpets. PUR backfoamed carpets are used for sound insulation inside the car, as well as having a decorative and integrative function.
On October 17, 2016, the most innovative and creative vehicle manafacturing Solutions premiered in anticipation of the 17th Automotive Award Night. This year, FRIMO’s Sontra location was pleased to receive second place in the Body Interior category as a partner of BMW Landshut.
FRIMO is proud to be an involved member in both the local community, as well as in the automotive community. In the past month, FRIMO has participated in and made donations to 3 different golf outings, supporting charities such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation and local food pantries.
Structural components currently used in serial production generally feature a monolithic construction, which means they are built from carbon fibers in a matrix, metallic components, and aluminum or magnesium. The new approach aims to produce these structural components in a sandwich construction method, consisting of a cost-effective lightweight core with cover layers made from various reinforcing fibers.
